Determinants of Revolt in Medieval Germany

Revolt was endemic in the later half of the middle ages across Europe. Following the Black Death, we can see an increase in revolutionary behavior over time. So far this paper find that poor harvests and reoccurences of lague combine to prime many areas for political unrest.

Public Opinion and the US Civil War

This is a sketch of an idea. Lincoln issuing the Emancipation proclaimation should shift public opinion in the north toward abolitionism rather than preservation of the Union.
